The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in India organized an awareness lecture aimed at equipping the new generation with knowledge and the teachings of the Holy Quran, emphasizing the importance of protecting them from the dangers of extremism. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Mohammad Shehab al-Din al-Azhari, Secretary-General of the Organization’s India Branch and Head of al-Rahmaniya School in Suffol, Darbahneh, Bihar.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the new generation is in dire need of proper guidance and direction, noting that ignorance and a lack of education often pave the way to violence and extremism. He highlighted that the younger generation is taught the Holy Quran from an early age, provided with sound Islamic teachings, and encouraged to embody seriousness, diligence, and good character.
The school director praised the speech of the Secretary-General, affirming that al-Azhar plays a vital role in preparing a generation of scholars who are well-versed in the needs of the modern era and who contribute significantly to promoting moderate thought across the globe.
