As Part of al-Azhar’s Directions to Spread Moderation: Al-Azhar Graduates in Chad: Islam Has a Tolerant Stance Concerning Worship & Dealings Far from Obstinacy & Extremism

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates, Chad branch, convened a lecture for the students at al-Wehda al-‘Arabiya school in N’Djamena under the title of: “Renouncing Violence and Extremism”. This activity comes within the framework of the awareness campaign titled: “Azhari Flashes” launched by al-Azhar to spread moderation via explaining “Al-Qawl at-Tayyeb” book by His Eminence Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar. The lecture witnessed the attendance of 60 students and was given by Mohammad Saleh Abu Bakr, member of Chad branch.

In his word, the lecturer stressed that Islam establishes moderation in all life aspects, as it renounces violence and extremism. He explained that the concept of moderation embraces the values of justice, stability, goodness and security. Indeed, moderation is considered one of the most significant characteristic of Islam, as our esteemed religion has taken a tolerant stance concerning worship and dealings, far from obstinacy and extremism.
