The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Libya delivered a lecture entitled “Love of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and following moderation”. It is worth mentioning that this lecture, attended by a number of Libyan students, is part of the role played by the Organization’s branch to confront extremist ideologies, correct misconceptions and spread the moderate thought.
Shaykh Faisal Al-Teer, member of the Organization’s Branch, highlighted Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) approach that calls for moderation as well as discarding ghulu and violence. In addition, he urged the attendees to deeply understand verses of the Holy Quran and Prophetic Sunnah. Allah Almighty says “Thus, We appointed you a midmost community that you might be witnesses to the people; and that the Messenger might be a witness to you” [Q. 2:143]. Finally, he engaged in a dialogue with students about significance of spreading values of peace, love, fraternity and peaceful coexistence among all communities.
