WOAG branch in Dakahlia governorate published a video, on the official Facebook page, under the title of “Alms of the Righteous“. This video comes within the activity carried out by the branch to confront the extremist ideology, correct the misconceptions and spread the moderate thinking.
Sheikh Sameh Mohammad al-Sayed, member of WOAG, said that alms refine souls, bring hearts together, conceal flaws, tightens social differences and strengthen solidarity bonds. Alms have their positive impact on society and its construction, since they protect society against deviations, corruption and thefts, as poverty may motivate a man in need to take the path of corruption; indeed, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said: “Charity does not decrease wealth“.
He pointed out that Islam always seeks to mitigate the differences in the society in order to spread security and stability among its members; hence, Islam stipulated the principle of solidarity to urge supporting those in need, financially. Moreover, Islam stipulated Zakat and orphans sponsorship, and urged people to dig water wells and feed the poor; such procedures will limit the spread of animosity, hatred and envy and replace them with love, respect and cordiality between the different social classes.
