WOAG Branch in Luxor published a video, on the official Facebook page, under the Title of “Jannah is Nearer to Anyone of You than your Shoelace“. This video came within the activity carried out by the Branch to confront the extremist ideology, correct the misconceptions and spread the moderate way of thinking.
Sheikh Amin Abdul Sataar, one of al-Azhar preachers and member of WOAG, said that Jannah is nearer to Man than his shoelace, stressing that this Hadith includes both encouragement and intimidation, so that a Muslim may not despise any act of kindness whatever insignificant it is. Indeed, a Muslim should be keen to do good deeds, as he/she does not know what actions could be the reason to win paradise. He added that the intimidation in the Hadith lies in warning Muslims from evil deeds whatever insignificant they are, highlighting that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) clarified in the Hadith that hell too is nearer to Man that his shoelace; indeed, a word could be a reason to reside in hell.
