
The Federal Territory Religious Affairs Council in Malaysia MAIWP, in collaboration with the organization’s branch in Malaysia, organized a workshop on “Educational Technologies”. The workshop aims to enhance educational technologies and develop the capabilities and skills of teachers in preparatory and secondary schools under the council’s jurisdiction, which includes several states. The workshop also covered how to promote moderation and renew religious discourse through the ethical objectives integrated into the curriculum alongside the cognitive and skill-based objectives for each lesson, as a means to protect the community from any harmful or malicious ideas. The workshop was led by Professor Prof. Mohammed Tayyeb bin Fah, a member of the Board of Directors of the organization’s branch in Malaysia and a lecturer in the Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Malaya. Furthermore, Prof. Ahmed bin Yusuf, the Treasurer of the branch and the Head of the Islamic Education Department at the Academy of Islamic Studies at the University of Malaya, lectured the workshop. The workshop lasted for two days and was attended by 16 teachers and five supervisors from the Human Development Department of the Council (MAWIB). Certificates of appreciation were distributed to the supervisors and certificates of excellence were awarded to the participating teachers.
