Al-Azhar Graduates in Central Africa: Islam’s Legislations Ended Slavery to Honor Human beings

The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates in Central Africa delivered a lecture entitled “Enslaving Women” at Saida Khadija School. It is worth mentioning that this lecture is part of the role played the Organization and its foreign branches to confront extremist ideologies, correct misconceptions and spread moderate thought.

Shaykh Zakaryya Younis, President of the Organization’s Branch in Central Africa, pointed to the fact that Islam’s legislations ended slavery in order to honor human beings. He also refuted claims of extremist groups that Islam endorsed slavery, based on strong Quranic texts that clearly states that Islam is against slavery.
