Al-Azhar Graduates in Central Africa: Deluders Encourage Migration from Homelands by Promoting Misinterpretations of Quranic Verses

WOAG branch in Central African Republic convened a lecture under the title of “Migration; its Concept and Reality“, in al-Safi Omar Zawiya. This lecture came within the activities carried out by the Organization and its branches abroad, to confront the extremist way of thinking, correct the misconceptions and spread moderation.

Sheikh Zakaria Younis, President of WOAG branch in Central African Republic, pointed out that despite different circumstances of early Muslims migration and the stability of societies at present; however, deluders justify their false calls for Muslims to migrate from their homelands, with some Quranic verses and claim that migration completes Muslim’s faith. Some of these Quranic verses are: “And those who believed but did not migrate – you have no duty to make an alliance with them” [Q:8:72], ” And those who have believed afterwards and migrated, and struggled with you — they belong to you” [Q:8:75]. Indeed, scholars refute such deluding claims by stating two prohibiting cases of migration; first: a Muslim is enjoying stability and welfare in his homeland, second: a Muslim intends to act piously and obey Allah Almighty, yet he/she fails to fully fulfill it; nevertheless, Allah Almighty grants him/her the reward of full piety and obedience. Sheikh Zakaria stated that in order to achieve the full meaning of migration, we should build a coherent and integral Muslim society characterized by pure beliefs, apparent rituals, social systems, etiquette and moral behaviors, defending, supporting and honoring Islam.
