Al-Azhar Graduates in Libya Holds Lecture on Explanation of Book “Ghulu in Prophetic Era; Forms and Remedies”

The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Libya held a lecture on the explanation of the Book “Ghulu in Prophetic Era; Forms and Remedies” written by Prof. Ibrahim Al-Hodhod, Former President of Al-Azhar University, and presented by Prof. Mohammad Abdul Fadeel Al-Qousy (May Allah be Pleased with Him), Member of Al-Azhar Senior Scholars Authority. The lecture was held amid a large attendance of students at Al-Asmari Lodge in the city of Zliten.

Sheikh Ali Ahmad Ishmilah, Head of Zliten Office, delivered the lecture. He pointed out that Ghulu (extremism) involves objecting to Allah’s Almighty legislation and rule, and belying the Prophet (PBUH) as if the extremist is saying to the Legislator “You did not legislate well” and saying to the Messenger “You did not convey the message properly.” Thus, the extremist is stubbornly defiant and contentious towards Allah and His Messenger, which is the epitome of deviance as the Shariah came complete, neither bearing increase nor decrease.
