Al-Azhar Graduates in Nigeria: Islam Urges Moderation in All Life Aspects

WOAG branch in Nigeria organized a religious lecture under the title of “Moderation of Islam“, with the participation of 30 attendees in Kwara state, Nigeria. This comes within the activities organized by WOAG headquarters in Cairo, its local and abroad branches to challenge the extremist ideology and spread the moderate message of Islam.

Abu Bakr Jebril, a member of WOAG branch in Nigeria and a participant in the Nigerian Imams training course 2019, said that Islam urges moderation in all aspects of life, whether the religious or the secular ones. He pointed out that Islam has made a balance between the individual’s and the society’s rights, highlighting the tolerance of Islam that denounces extremism. He stressed as well that the message of Islam seeks to disseminate the righteous faith, the virtues of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, addressing Muslims with wisdom and benevolence and urging collaboration among Muslims regarding the agreed issues.

This lecture comes within a series of lectures organized by the branch under the title of “Islam: a Religion of Good Morals and Behaviors“. Such activity aims to illustrate the tolerance of Islam, its true essence as well as spreading good morals and virtues in society.
