Al-Azhar Graduates in Benin Organize a Lecture to Protect Youth against Recruitment inside Extremist Groups

WOAG Branch in Benin “under establishment” organized a lecture to tackle the extremist groups’ methodologies to deceive and recruit the youth. This activity came within WOAG’s efforts to protect the youth against recruitment inside the extremist groups.

The lecture highlighted refuting the extremist and intolerant ideologies that seek to destruct civilizations and societies and build up a deformed state through which they can disseminate their malicious ideas that have nothing to do with Islam.

Moreover, the lecture stressed that the extremist groups should be confronted on all levels, emphasizing the need to create a counter-current to deter and defeat them. Indeed, Islam urges adopting and spreading the peaceful values such as intimacy, tolerance and peaceful coexistence. The lecture warned against following the extremist groups, and urged to support the youth with al-Azhar moderate approach that renounces violence and extremism.
