The branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Port Said broadcast a video entitled: “Preserving and Protecting Souls from Dangers” on the official page of Facebook as part of the activities of the branch to confront the extremist thought, correct misconceptions, and propagate the moderate approach.
It is worth mentioning that Mahmoud Abu Mandour, a member of the Organization said that preserving and protecting souls from dangers and harm is one of the greatest objectives of Shariah and so is physical health. Needless to say that the Prophet (PBUH) is the first one who set the quarantine. As he said, “If you hear that a land has a plague in it, do not go forward to it. If it comes upon a land which you are in, do not depart in flight from it”. This Hadith is an actual application of the principles of quarantine in its current idea. Moreover, quarantine is one of the most important means to limit the spread of epidemic diseases in the present era, and according to it, anyone is prohibited from entering the areas where epidemics have spread, and its people are prevented from leaving them, and the Prophet (PBUH) has shown in some hadiths the principles of quarantine, preventing people from entering the town in which the plague is located, or its people leaving it.
