
The branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Pakistan held a lecture on the importance of books in spreading the Islamic culture and the moderate Azhari approach in society. This came at the margins of the branch’s participation in the Book Fair in Karachi City.
During the lecture, Sheikh Aziz Mahmoud al-Azhari, the President of the Organization’s branch in Pakistan, pointed out that Islam is the religion of mercy and tolerance. He added that Islam came to spread values and principles which aim to stabilize the society, propagate moderate thought, instill religious loyalty in Muslims’ souls, and encourage them to confront those who try to distort the image of Islam.
It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Aziz clarified the importance of Islamic culture in educating Muslims on how to apply the values and principles of Islam on the ground. He added that Islamic culture effectively contributes to developing the individuals, which reflects positively on the whole society.
The branch’s audio and video lectures, seminars, conferences, and video lectures for scholars and sheikhs of Al-Azhar University were shown on the screens throughout the fair period to benefit a lot from the activities of the Organization’s Pakistan Branch.
