The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Somalia delivered a lecture entitled “Tolerance and Moderation of Islam” in Masjid Ash-Sharif at Qardho City. It is worth mentioning that a number of imams and preachers attended this lecture which is part of the role played by the Organization and its foreign branches to confront extremist ideologies, correct misconceptions and spread the moderate thought.
Shaykh Atef Hamdan, Arabic teacher at Qardho Azhari Institute, stressed tolerance of Islam that calls for moderation as well as discarding ghulu, extremism and extremist ideologies condoned by terrorist organizations that distort the tolerant image of Islam. He also pointed to the significance of following the example of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in all aspects of life.
