
The Branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Assiut held a symposium in the Technical Health Institute entitled “Citizenship and Strengthening Values of Belonging and Peace”. This is part of the Organization’s role and its domestic branches to confront the extremist ideology, correct misconceptions, and propagate the moderate approach. It is worth mentioning that the symposium was lectured by Prof. Khalaf Ammar, the Secretary-General in Assiut, Prof. Yaser Ali Farag, Faculty Member in the Faculty of Usul ad-Deen in Assiut, and Prof. Ali Seddiq, Head of Human Rights Unit in Assiut.
Furthermore, the symposium aimed to consolidate the values of belonging, loyalty, and fraternity among the students of the Institute, emphasizing the tolerance of Islam and instilling the values of citizenship among young people. Moreover, the symposium asserted that Islam is a religion of tolerance and ease.
