The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Chad delivered a lecture entitled “The concept of Hakimiyah (sovereignty of Allah)” in the Capital City of N’Djamena. It is worth mentioning that this lecture is part of the role played by the Organization’s branch to confront extremist ideologies, correct misconceptions and spread the moderate thought.
The lecture focused on the explaining the meaning of the concept and asserting that sovereignty of Allah calls for the love of creatures as well as freedom of faith and it does not compel other to embrace Islam. Humans are the viceroys of Allah and it is their duties to apply legislations and laws revealed by Allah. It also pointed to the fact that extremists misinterpret this concept.
