WOAG branch in Benin organized several public meetings to introduce the moderation of Islam, and to confront exaggeration and extremism. They stressed during these meetings the necessity of following the example of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in his tolerant message and good treatment of the others.
The meetings also stressed the necessity of adhering to moderation and good manners, keeping away from sins, violence and extremism to attain the safety of all people without racial discrimination. The meetings also tackled raising the awareness concerning extremism, terrorism and protecting the societies against the dangers of misunderstanding Islam, in order to prevent the spread of the misconceptions.
