Al-Azhar Graduates in Mali Organize a Lecture on Raising the Awareness of Women Concerning the Dangers of Extremism

WOAG Branch in Mali organized a lecture under the title of “The Importance of Educating Women and Their Role in Protecting Family against the Extremist Thinking“, in al-Salam school in Bamako city, and attended by 230 participants. This lecture came within the activities carried out by the Organization and its branches abroad to confront the extremist thinking, correct the misconception and spread the moderate approach.

Sheikh Omar Miga, Principal of al-Sadaqa school and member of WOAG Mali, clarified that the role of an educated woman is to eradicate ignorance and to create conscious and educated generations capable of dealing with problems. He highlighted as well women’s role to instill the positive and Islamic principles in youth, so that to become successful an effective in their society. He also stressed the necessity of qualifying women and raising their awareness concerning extremism and its impact on youth, their role in protecting the youth, intellectually, against the extremist ideas and preserving the society from disintegration and collapse and correcting the misconceptions.
