The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Chad delivered a lecture entitled “The concept of Al-Wala’ Wal-Bara’ in the capital city of N’Djamena. It is worth mentioning that this lecture which was attended by 50 people is part of the efforts exerted by the Organization to confront extremist thoughts, correct misconceptions and spread moderate approach.
The lecture pointed to the fact that there is no contradiction between the concept of Al-Wala’ Wal-Bara’ and the ethical system in Islam. However, this concept is part of the ethical system. Among the characteristics of the Muslim society is that it is based on loyalty to Allah Almighty and Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and disavowal anything that contradicts with the path of Allah. The lecture also highlighted that discourse of hatred cannot create a human society where mercy prevail.
