
The branch of al-Azhar Graduates in Qardho, Somalia, held a workshop entitled “Raising Awareness of New Generation about the Religious Extremism”, in attendance of a group of male and female students in the institute of Hajj Ali for lawful and Arabic studies.
During the workshop, Ahmad Awl, a Member of the organization, pointed out the efforts exerted by the branch in Qardho to refute the extremist ideas and protect young people from drifting behind these radical ideas. Furthermore, the branch works on delivering the message of moderate Islam easily to understand. Also, Awl warned them of the extremist groups and their intruding thought. It is worth mentioning that some notables and tribal elders praised al-Azhar’s role and al-Azhar Graduates in educating young people and instilling principles of moderation. Moreover, they called for continuing this meaningful role through the events organized by the officials of the branch. The workshop witnessed the distribution of prizes for superior individuals who combated intruding ideas.
