The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in India held a seminar entitled “The role of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif in spreading moderation and combating extremist thought” in the hall of Khaleek Nezamy Center for Quran Studies. A number of Darul Uloom Deoband graduates researchers and students attended the seminar.
Mr. Saleem Mobeen Al-Azhari, President of the Branch, pointed, during his speech, to the fact that Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif is the largest Islamic Academic entity that preserves and spreads Islamic heritage. It also sends the tolerant message of Islam worldwide and works on shedding the light on the reality of Islam as well as its constructive role with regards to the progress and civilization of humanity. In addition, he stressed that Al-Azhar University is the oldest and largest Islamic University where students learn the true moderate Islam.
