Head of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Faiyum, Prof. Muhammad Sarhan, met with a number of imams and preachers as part of the role played by the Organization’s domestic branches to confront extremist thought, correct misconceptions and spread moderate thought. He talked about the significance of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif’s message of spreading moderate thought. Throughout history, Al-Azhar is regarded as a beacon of knowledge and moderation. He also called upon imams and preachers to preserve the Azhari identity and spread the spirit of tolerance, love, cooperation and fraternity among people. He finally urged them to give due attention and care to protecting the youth from false ideologies.
