Al-Azhar Graduates in Bangladesh Holds Seminar on Loving Homelands

The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Bangladesh held a seminar in Chittagong entitled “Loving homelands and protecting them”. It is woth mentioning that this seminar is part of the role played by the Organization’s branch in confronting extremist thought, correcting misconceptions and spreading moderate thought.

President of the Organization Branch, Shaykh Sofi Neizan Ar-Rahman, highlighted, during his speech, that loving homelands is considered part of faith as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said while leaving his homeland in Mecca “What a fine town you are, and how dear you are to me! Were it not that my people expelled me from you, I would live nowhere else.” When he arrived to Medina, he asked Allah to make him love his new homeland and after a while he became attached to it. This proves that loving homelands is a natural feeling that Islam approved.
