WOAG branch in Libya convened a seminar under the title of “Battle of Badr … Lessons and Examples“, attended by Sheikh Ali Ahmad Ashmila, member of the branch and a number of students. This seminar came within the activities carried out by WOAG and its branches abroad to confront the extremist thinking, correct the misconceptions and spread the moderate approach.
Sheikh Hassan Mokhtar al-Jabri, member of the branch, stressed that the Battle of Badr is considered as the most important battle Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) had ever fought. He clarified that this battle showed the importance of prayers in the Muslim’s life, and rejected the false claims of comparing the patience and diligence of the Prophet’s Companions to the terrorist attacks carried out by the extremist groups.
