WOAG Branch in Libya, Wadi al Shatii office, convened a fourm under the title of “Moderation… Approach and Application“, in Tamisan al-Shatii region. The forum was attended by Sheikh Akram al-Girari, President of WOAG Libya, Sheikh Abdul Wahab Kheir, head of Wadi al Shatii office and a number of WOAG members in Libya.
Sheikh Akram al-Girari gave a word where he stressed that moderation is one of the main characteristics of Islam, and that the Islamic Ummah is a nation of moderation. Indeed, the moderate Islamic Ummah utilizes all its energies and efforts in construction and urbanization, either on the physical, educational, scientific or cultural levels, without exaggeration or excessiveness. Such process seeks to achieve balance between the individual and the society, between religion and the worldly desires, mind and power, idealism and realism, spirituality and materialism…etc. Indeed, nowadays we are in dear need for spreading the culture of moderation all over the world in order to clarify to all people the advantages of Islam and to correct all the misconceptions that, ignorantly, distort the image of Islam.
