
The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Libya (Ghat Office) headed by Shaykh Bo-Salah Al-Hadad, a member of the branch, imam, and preacher, held a lecture entitled “Affiliation and Citizenship” for students at Quran memorization schools in Ghat District.
The lecture was delivered by Shaykh Gebriel Nesamo, a member of the branch, and Shaykh Ahmad Ramadan, a member of the Organization. They tackled the significance of loving nations as well as promoting values of affiliation. They stressed that nations are an integral part of developing a sense of national identity. Moreover, they pointed to the significance of anchoring values of affiliation and citizenship in the minds and hearts of children to bring up a promising generation.
It is worth mentioning that this lecture is part of continuous efforts exerted by the Organization Branch in Libya to confront destructive ideologies that invade the minds of youth and children and to anchor the concept of moderation in Islam.
The lecture also shed light on the paramount importance of supporting children in Quran memorization as well as learning its tolerant teachings. Officials at Quran memorization schools in Ghat District extended their thanks to Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif for its keenness in portraying the true image of Islam away from extremism. They also called for holding more lectures and academic and cultural seminars.
