Head of WOAG Indonesia Underlines Parents’ Role in Protecting Children from Deviated Thoughts

Prof. Mohammad Zain al-Majd, Head of WOAG branch in Indonesia participated in the Mass Religious Meeting “Tabligh Akbar”.

Zain al-Majd gave a lecture on the sidelines of the meeting on the risks of youth’s preoccupation with social media as source of knowledge and information. He underlined that using social media, negatively, affects teens by distracting their attention, disrupting their sleep, exposing them to bullying and spreading rumors and unrealistic views about the lives of others. He stressed that parents should monitor their children and their behaviors to protect them from any danger that may distract their thoughts and expose them to adopt deviated ideas.
