Al-Azhar ash-Sharif and its scholars, with greater satisfaction of Allah’s predestination, mourn the passing of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their companions, who all perished in a helicopter crash.
His Eminence Grand Imam of al-Azhar extends his heartfelt condolences to the Iranian people and the families of the Iranian President, the Foreign Minister, and their companions. He prays to Almighty Allah to grant them all His vast mercy and to provide their families and loved ones with patience and solace. {We certainly belong to Allah, and to Him, we are bound to return.}
