Al-Azhar Al-Sharif welcomed the step announced by the Arab Republic of Egypt regarding its intention to intervene in support of South Africa’s case against the Zionist entity at the International Court of Justice. It affirmed its full support for the political leadership in this initiative that befits Egypt’s status and long honorable history within the framework of supporting the Palestinian Cause, maintaining the rights of Palestinians, thwarting the falsehood of the oppressive aggressors, as well as upholding the stance of the Egyptian people in supporting the resilience of their brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Azhar called on everyone to exert maximum political, global, and popular pressure to stop the bloodshed, besiege the Zionist entity politically and economically, and bring it to trial for the terrorist crimes it has been committing for more than 75 years against the Palestinian people, It also called for putting an end to the ongoing massacres that have been perpetrated for more than 220 consecutive days.
