WOAG branch in Bangladesh organized a lecture under the title of “Islam Spread by Tolerance not by Sword”. The lecture was given by Sheikh Mohammad Galal al-Din al-Azhari, member of the branch, and attended by other members in addition to Sheikh Sufi Mizan al-Rahman, Head of the branch.
The lecturer highlighted that the Islamic Shari’a did not come to restrict people’s lives, however, Islam was revealed to attain the welfare and stability of all humanity. Indeed, Islam is characterized by tolerance and easiness, embodied in every aspect of people’s life, whether the religious or the worldly ones. Truly, Islam spreads by wisdom and good advice as Allah Almighty says: “There is no compulsion in religion” [Q:2:256]
