The new Board of Directors of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates (WOAG) has been, officially, accredited. The new board is chaired by His Eminence Prof. Abbas Shouman, the Former Deputy of al-Azhar and the Secretary-General of Al-Azhar Council of Senior Scholars, along with Prof. Salama Dawood, President of al-Azhar University, and Mr. Wael Bekhit as WOAG Vice-Chairmen.
The new board’s membership includes Prof. Abdul Dayyem Nosseir, WOAG Secretary-General, Prof. Mohammad ad-Duwini, Deputy of al-Azhar, Prof. Nazir Ayyad, the Secretary-General of al-Azhar Islamic Research Academy, Prof. Osama al-Abed, Head of the Religious Affairs Committee at the House of Representatives and Former President of al-Azhar University, Prof. Ibrahim al-Hudhud, the Former President of al-Azhar University, in addition to Dr. Nahla al-Haraki.
WOAG’s New Board of Directors, chaired by Prof. Abbas Shouman, thanked the Former Board headed by Prof. Mohammad al-Mahrasawy, the Former President of al-Azhar University and Mr. Osama Yaseen, WOAG Former Vice-Chairman, for the efforts they exerted in serving the Organization, its message and mission to gather thousands of al-Azhar Graduates worldwide, turning it into a joint entity for mutual relations and spreading al-Azhar moderate approach to challenge exaggeration and extremism.
