
The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates’ branch in Central Africa Republic organized a lecture under the title of “The Importance of Unity among Muslims”, in Ibrahim Younis Mosque in Bangui city, with the presence of 70 attendees. The lecture was given by Imam Ahmad Barma, a teacher at the Azhari Islamic Da’wa School and member of the branch.
The lecturer highlighted the importance of unity among Muslims, since it is the only way for unification. He added that unity is a requirement that all societies seek, and the unity of Muslims will result in their strength and glory and no enemy shall defeat them then.
Further, the lecturer stressed that the unity of the Islamic nation is an obligation and shall be attained by overlooking the sectarian disagreements and to focus on the commonalities. As such, conferences and lectures on Muslims unity should be convened to discuss its aspects, ways of attaining it and giving attention to the youth as being the future generation.
The lecturer underlined that following the methodology of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his companions as well as taking guidance from prominent scholars are the fundaments for achieving the Islamic unity. He underscored as well the necessity to follow scholars who seek Allah’s content and who are truly faithful to Islam.
