The Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Chad Addresses the Dangers of Exaggeration in Society

The branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Chad held a lecture titled: “Exaggeration in Religion” at the Abu Bakr Mosque in N’Djamena, attended by 20 people. During the lecture, Sheikh Awad Othman Ibrahim, a member of al-Azhar Graduates, discussed examples of exaggeration both during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and in the modern era, highlighting how the Prophet responded to such behaviors.

He further emphasized that all forms of exaggeration are rejected, as they contradict the tolerance and ease of Islam. He added that intolerance in religious matters can lead to extremism and excessive behaviors.

It is worth mentioning that the lecture aimed to promote the moderate Azhari approach, confront extremism and terrorism, highlight the necessity of correcting misconceptions, and address all forms of extremism, by explaining the errors in convincingly understanding them.
