Organization’s Branch in Benin Honors Outstanding Students in Quran and Hadith Memorization

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Benin honored outstanding students in memorizing the Holy Quran and Prophetic Hadiths from Bilal bin Rabah School in Cotonou city, with 70 people in attendance.

Yahya Nazir, Secretary General of the Organization’s branch in Benin, explained that the virtues of the Holy Quran and its bearers are well known. He pointed out that the bearers of the Holy Quran are honored and revered in this world and the hereafter because they memorize the best book that Allah revealed to the best of all creation.

The branch’s Secretary General urged students to exert effort in acquiring knowledge, especially religious sciences from reliable sources. He also highlighted the role that parents should play in encouraging children to seek knowledge and follow the moderate approach. He also pointed out that adhering to moderation and balance in all aspects of life protects against extremism.
