The Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, Prof. Mohammad al-Jendi met with the Directors-General of Preaching Areas, in the presence of Prof. Abbas Shouman, Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars and former Deputy of al-Azhar, President of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates, and Prof. Mahmoud al-Hawari, Assistant Secretary for Dawah and Religious Media at the Academy, and Prof. Hassan Yehia, Assistant Secretary of the Higher Committee for Dawah at the Academy.
It is worth noting that Mohammad al-Jendi, Secretary-General of the Academy, stated that this meeting aims to discuss and review the progress of work in the preaching areas across the Republic, as well as to develop the work strategy for the upcoming phase. He emphasized the vital role of al-Azhar’s male and female preachers in carrying out the preaching and awareness strategy of al-Azhar ash-Sharif, under the directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, Sheikh of al-Azhar.
Additionally, al-Jendi emphasized the urgent need to intensify preaching and educational efforts that are closely tied to the reality of people’s lives and their actual needs. He also highlighted the importance of addressing issues and problems directly related to people’s circumstances. He pointed out the need for al-Azhar’s male and female preachers to actively participate in all events and activities organized across the governorates, ensuring that their message is strong and reinforces al-Azhar’s principles of moderation, tolerance, and acceptance of others within the community. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of continuous follow-up and oversight of daily workflows, along with increasing the presence of both fixed and mobile preaching convoys to enhance communication with people in various regions of the Republic.
Moreover, Prof. Abbas Shouman discussed with the Directors-General various topics and issues related to the reconciliation committees operating across all governorates of the Republic. The aim was to maximize the effectiveness of these committees in facilitating reconciliations and resolving problems that threaten societal stability.
Shouman also emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination with the central administrations of various state institutions in the governorates, such as those for youth, education, culture, universities, and other venues where students gather. This coordination aims to reach the widest possible audience across different categories and diverse interests.
