Member of Organization Discusses Concept of “Islamic Education” on TV Program

Mohammad Zaki Traoré, a member of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Mali, participated as a guest on the show FASO KEKE on NIETA TV (La Télévision pour le Progès de l’Humanité), which discussed “Education in Islam”. The episode revolved around the concept, importance, and status of education in Islam. Education aims at preparing generations properly and protecting them against involvement in extremist ideas.

He pointed out that education in Islam guides the Muslim individual as an integrated structure, consisting of spirit and mind, based on faith in Allah Almighty and working on Earth to achieve construction and development. He considers that the foundation of education in Islam is ethics, as it does not separate between education and upbringing or upbringing and ethics. He added that education in Islam reveals and demonstrates the essence of Islam and its principles and displays and explains its value, spirit, and laws. The importance of education and its status becomes clear in showing the human need for Islamic values that are valid for all times and places.
