The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates concluded the activities of “Inheritance Jurisprudence” intensive training courses. The course was convened at the Organization’s premises in Cairo and witnessed the participation of Prof. Abbas Shouman, President of the Organization and Secretary General of al-Azhar Council of Senior Scholars, and Dr. Ali Mahdy, Member of Fatwa Committee, Secretary of al-Azhar Council of Senior Scholars, as lecturers. The course extended over ten lectures with the attendance of more than 200 trainees.
During the concluding lecture, Prof. Abbas Shouman expressed his pleasure for the trainees’ keenness to gain knowledge. He stated that what have been taught during the training course puts the trainees on the right path to learn about inheritance fundamentals, issues and how to divide the inheritance pursuant to the legal rules and processes. His Eminence stressed how important is inheritance jurisprudence in preserving rights.
On his part, Dr. Ali Mahdy pointed out that the training course tackled the explanation of the issues that have to do with the inheritance and how it is counted. He added that the lectures illustrated those who should inherit, who are statutory heir, kinsman heir and those who should not inherit and many other jurisprudential issues that have to do with inheritance.
