The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Holds Seminar on Danger of Takfir

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Bangladesh held a seminar entitled “Danger of Takfir” at the branch headquarters. Branch members, students, researchers, members of Sheikh Sufi Foundation and its staff, attended the event.

In his speech, Sheikh Sufi Mizan pointed out that takfir (declaring others as non-believers) is a fitnah and a dangerous affliction that has torn apart the Muslim community and continues to do so in our time. He emphasized that declaring people as non-believers without evidence from the Holy Quran and Prophetic Sunnah, and describing Muslims as kufar, is a dangerous matter as it leads to bloodshed, violation of people’s dignity and sanctities, and destruction of facilities.

Mufti Abdul Wajid, Former Mufti of the International Ahmadiya Sunni University, said that the phenomenon of takfir leads to corruption on earth, chaos among people, and opposition to Allah and His Messenger, as it results in fighting and bloodshed.
