The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates branch in Mali convened a lecture under the title of “Tolerance in Islam”, at al-Amal School, in Bamako city, with the participation of 50 persons. This activity comes within the awareness campaign “Azhari Flashes…a Reading in al-Qawl at-Tayyeb Book by His Eminence the Grand Imam of al-Azhar”, according to al-Azhar’s direction to spread moderation worldwide.
Adam Sako, member of the branch, highlighted during the lecture the virtue of tolerance in Islam. He also stressed that Islam spread with tolerance and good manners, not with sword as propagated by the terrorist groups who misinterpret the Quranic verses. He explained as well how the Prophet (PBUH) dealt with the disbelievers with wisdom and good advice.
