
The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates branch in Malaysia convened an evening via “Zoom” under the title of “A Word on Tolerance” from “The Good Saying” book by Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar. This comes within a series of cultural evenings to build the nation’s thoughts.
The evening was inaugurated by Dr. Mohammad Fakhrulddin, Head of the branch, in which he demonstrated the linguistic and geo-philosophical definition of tolerance as well as highlighting the Organization’s efforts in establishing it, internationally. Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Mahmoud, Faculty Member at the Research Center for Theology and Philosophy, also gave a word under the title of “The Relation between Islam and Other Previous Heavenly Religions and its Influence on Humanity Amid the Current International Status”. Additionally, Dr. Mohammad Shahid Bin Mohammad Nouh, Head of Shari’ah and Economics Department, the Islamic Studies Academy, University of Malaya, gave a word under the title of “The Positive Impact of Tolerance- the Malaysian Society as a Model”. A number of the branch’s members participated in the evening, besides post-graduate students and lecturers in Islamic universities as well as students of al-Sheikh Zayed Center.
