Awareness Lecture for Al-Azhar Graduates Branch in Somalia to Combat Extremism

As part of the ongoing efforts by the Somalia branch of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates to spread awareness and promote moderate thought, the branch held an awareness lecture for students at Nour al-Quran School in Garowe city, addressing one of the most significant causes of extremist ideology spread: ignorance and lack of knowledge.

Mohamed Ali, a branch member, delivered the lecture and emphasized that ignorance serves as fertile ground for the growth of deviant ideas, and that weak educational attainment leaves an intellectual void that can easily be exploited by advocates of extremism and radicalism. He explained that correct religious knowledge, based on moderate understanding and approach, is the impenetrable fortress against this destructive ideology. He encouraged students to continue seeking knowledge, as education is the path to salvation from the trap of extremism and deviation, and is the true weapon in building awareness and maintaining community stability.

The lecture was widely welcomed by students and teachers, and everyone praised its beneficial content and awareness message. In a beautiful gesture, motivational prizes were distributed to participating students in appreciation of their attendance and positive engagement.

For his part, the Director of Nour al-Quran School expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the organization for this blessed visit, praising the importance of such educational lectures and calling for more purposeful programs that contribute to protecting generations from deviant ideology.
