Continuing his efforts to explore channels of academic cooperation in Southeast Asia, Prof. Salama Dawood, President of al-Azhar University and Vice-President of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates for Academic and Cultural Affairs, concluded his academic visit to Indonesia and headed to Singapore, where he was received by Prof. Nazirudin Nasir, Mufti of Singapore, and Mr. Ahmed Mustafa, Ambassador of Egypt to Singapore. They attended the advisory committee meeting to establish the Islamic University in Singapore.
It is worth noting that the university will be an addition to serving Muslims in Singapore, whose affairs are overseen by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore.
