In Cooperation with “Al-Illm Center for Teaching Quran”…al-Azhar Graduates in Somalia Organize a Seminar on Teaching the Arabic Language

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates in Somalia, Qardho branch, convened an intensive summer course in Arabic Grammar. This came in cooperation with Al-Illm Center for Teaching Quran and Scientific Texts, in pursuit of spreading the legal and lingual sciences, in order to strength the students’ skills in Arabic language. The training course seeks to provide learners with the basic rules of Arabic language as being the main key to understand Quran, the prophetic Sunnah and other Shari’ah sciences. In fact, the Arabic grammar is considered as the greatest of all Arabic language’s sciences; through it, the features of speech are understood, the meanings are distinguished and the tongues are refrained from errors and incorrect pronunciation. It has been said that “maintaining grammatical rules in speech is like adding salt to food” and Imam al-Shafi’i also said: “people neither became ignorant nor differed but by abandoning the Arabic language”. Hence, learning the Arabic grammar is a necessity for every student seeking to relish the beauty of the Arabic language and correctly understand the religious texts.

In the same vein, the course included several topics such as: inflectional nouns, verbs and particles. The Organization’s branch in Somalia affirmed continuing such meaningful educational courses during summer.
