The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates branch in Mali convened an awareness seminar themed: “National Unity from the Perspective of Islamic Shari’ah”, in cooperation with “Culture and Solidarity Assembly”, in Bamako.
Shu’aib Konate, member of the branch, highlighted that national unity means not to make differentiation between citizens in their rights and duties, and to preserve the cohesion of community as one fabric. In fact, national unity is among the matters that Islamic Shari’ah is urging; indeed, people, from Islam’s perspective, form one human society, found on peaceful coexistence, peace, diversity, renouncing violence, compulsion, seditions, as well as the misconceptions harming the society.
