His Eminence, Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar extended his heartfelt condolences to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, its people and leadership, over the victims of the devastating floods that struck several regions, leading to hundreds of deaths and injuries and causing severe harms to homes and infrastructure.
Further, al-Azhar ash-Sharif, along with its scholars and students, declares its full solidarity with Pakistan in this terrible ordeal, extending its deepest condolences to the victims’ families.
Al-Azhar ash-Sharif prays to Allah Almighty to encompass the victims with His mercy and forgiveness, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, to help the rescue teams in their mission to save the innocents and recover them from under the rubble and to protect Pakistan and all Muslim lands.
“Surely, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.”
