Shouman: The Unity of Nation is a Protection of Both Homelands & Religion
Prof. Abbas Shouman, President of the World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates and Secretary General of al-Azhar Council of Senior Scholars stated, during the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday (1447H.) held at al-Azhar Mosque, that it is incumbent upon the Muslim nation to demonstrate their love and celebration of the birth of the Master of Creation, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), by reviving his fragrant biography. This includes observing his being in all his affairs—human, religious, and social—and emulating him, studying all his blessed traditions, and working according to his noble approach. This is to care for Islamic affairs and the unity of Muslims, and to show how the entire Muslim nation can be vigilant against their brutal enemy through the strength of their belonging to their doctrine and their readiness to sacrifice themselves before their wealth in defense of their religion, honor, and homeland.
Prof. Shouman also emphasized that one of the duties of this era upon the nation of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is to awaken to the dangers being plotted against it and to consider its condition and the condition of their oppressed brothers and sisters on earth, who have been abandoned. The brutal enemy of the nation is tormenting them, killing their young and old, their men and women, their children and elders. Some have not died by artillery and rockets under the rubble, but have been brutally killed by starvation and thirst. His Eminence called upon the nation of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) not to be content with mere condemnation and denunciation, but to work to support their brothers and sisters with all their might and to pray to Allah Almighty to grant them victory and keep them firm on the truth, to defeat and humiliate their enemy, and to show us the wonders of His power in them, and in those who supported, aided, and were pleased with their heinous actions.
The celebration was attended by prominent leaderships at al-Azhar Al-Sharif, a large number of al-Azhar students and visitors to al-Azhar Mosque.
