Al-Azhar also expresses its rejection and denunciation of the violation of Arab states’ sovereignty, the aggression against their territories and resources, and the intimidation of peaceful populations. Demanding an immediate end to these violations, Al-Azhar stresses that such aggression is rejected by morality, religion, and law, regardless of any justifications or pretexts.
Al-Azhar renews its call for the international community to intervene to restore peace to the Middle East, prevent the expansion of conflict, and take decisive, urgent action to extinguish the fires of war—the price of which is paid in innocent civilian lives.
Al-Azhar calls on all parties to exercise restraint and prudence, prioritizing wisdom, faith, and humanity during this crisis. It further urges an immediate return to the negotiating table without delay.
