Thailand Delegation Visits WOAG to Promote Joint Cooperation in Spreading the Message of al-Azhar

The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates (WOAG) received a delegation from the International Islamic College, Bangkok, Krirk University, at its headquarters in Cairo. The visit aimed to promote the joint cooperation between WOAG and the College to spread al-Azhar moderate approach, enhance peaceful coexistence and counter the extremist ideas.

The delegation included Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, Krirk University’s Vice President for International Affairs, Dean of International Islamic College Bangkok and Dr. Ibrahim Abu Sharif al-Azhari, Member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Thailand and a graduate of Usul al-Din Faculty, al-Azhar University. During their visit, the delegation commended the efforts exerted by WOAG under the leadership of Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar.

The delegation also visited Sheikh Zayed Center for Teaching Arabic to non-Native Speakers, and praised the efforts exerted in the educational process, developing the students’ skills and providing them with the proper learning environment. The delegation was received by Prof. Mohammad al-Mahrasawy, WOAG Vice-Chairman, Mr. Osama Yaseen, WOAG Vice-Chairman and Prof. Abdul Dayyem Nosseir, WOAG Secretary General.
