Palestinian Land Day: Half a Century of Steadfastness against Judaization

Al-Azhar Observatory stated that, on the 50th anniversary of Palestinian Land Day, this occasion stands as a living testament to the rightness of the Palestinian struggle in defense of the fundamental rights and historical land.

Every year on the 13th of March, Palestinians renew their deep bond with their identity, embodying the highest expressions of steadfastness in the face of occupation policies that seek to confiscate land and erase collective memory.

The roots of this commemoration run deep into 1976, when Palestinians rose up in defense of their land threatened with seizure, a national uprising inscribed in the blood of martyrs and the sacrifices of the wounded, transforming that pivotal moment into a symbol of legitimate resistance.

Within this framework, al-Azhar Observatory affirms that Land Day has transcended its historical boundaries as a singular occasion, becoming an enduring covenant between people and their land, a land that forms the very essence of their existence. The commemoration of this anniversary also reflects a cross-generational insistence on upholding rights, preserving heritage, and entrenching the values of resolve and steadfastness in the face of the occupation’s unjust practices against the Palestinian people.
