
Al-Azhar ash-Sharif wing at the 21st Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Book Fair has witnessed a remarkable turnout of visitors of all ages for the book, “Efforts of the Grand Imam in Confronting Extremism.” The book offers a profound academic and intellectual vision of the efforts made by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad at-Tayyeb, to confront extremist thought and strengthen the values of peace and human coexistence.
The book addresses extremism, its root causes, and the dangers it poses to individuals and societies. Furthermore, it reviews the Grand Imam’s efforts to dismantle radical thought and expose the misinterpreted religious texts exploited by extremist groups to justify violence and hatred.
Moreover, the book discusses the Grand Imam’s stances at international forums and his role in spreading the values of moderation and highlights al-Azhar’s global message of enhancing dialogue and tolerance.
